Cards sign fullback Maui'a, release Stewart

The Cardinals on Saturday signed fullback Reagan Maui'a and released guard Chris Stewart.
Entering his sixth year, the 6-foot, 265-pound Maui’a played in three games with the Cardinals last season after appearing in 15 games (including four starts) with the team in 2010. He originally signed with the Cardinals during training camp in 2009 but was released in the team’s final roster cut that year.
Maui’a also started two games in 2008 for the Cincinnati Bengals and was inactive for three others after being claimed off waivers from the Miami Dolphins on September 3, 2008. He originally entered the league with the Dolphins as a sixth-round selection in the 2007 draft out of Hawaii. He has appeared in 36 career games (18 starts) and has four carries for five yards and five receptions for 37 yards.
