Cardinals promote Licht to VP position
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Cardinals announced Tuesday that Jason Licht has been promoted to vice president of player personnel.
Licht spent the past season as the teams director of player personnel. He moves into the position that had been filled by Steve Keim, who was promoted to general manager.
Licht's background includes five years as Philadelphia's vice president of player personnel (2003-07) and three seasons as New England's director of pro personnel (2009-11).
“Jason has been a valuable member of our organization with an outstanding and well-earned reputation throughout the league,” Keim said. “In this new role he will take on an increased role in both college and pro personnel evaluation and also with contract negotiations.”
