Cardinals add ASU's Parker, Arizona's Vassallo

Linebackers Colin Parker of Arizona State and Paul Vassallo of Arizona are among 17 rookie free agents who have come to contract terms with the Arizona Cardinals.
The 17 undrafted newcomers include five linebackers, four wide receivers, two guards, two defensive ends, one safety, one cornerback, one center and one fullback.
Parker (6 feet 1, 223 pounds), a native of Chandler and the son of former NFL cornerback Anthony Parker, led ASU with 75 tackles as a senior. He started 18 games during his ASU career as an outside linebacker.
Vassallo (6-3, 247) was a two-year starter at inside linebacker for Arizona. He had 172 tackles in two seasons, including a team-high 102 in 2010.
The other linebackers are Broderick Binns (6-2, 261), Iowa's Defensive Most Valuable Player; four-year starter Marcus McGraw (6-0, 228) of Houston; and two-time All-Big Sky selection Zack Nash (6-4, 260) of Sacramento State.
The other newcomers are:
Wide receiver Stanley Arukwe (6-0, 184) of Troy; Laron Byrd (6-4, 220) of Miami; Tre Gray (5-10, 175) of Richmond, who had a school-record 95 receptions last year; and Marc Wilson (5-11, 190) of St. Anselm.
Guards Braden Clayson (6-6, 300) of Idaho State and Blake DeChristopher (6-5, 311), an All-ACC selection at Virginia Tech who helped Cardinals' running back Ryan Williams rush for 1,655 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2009.
Two-time All-Mid-American Conferecne center Scott Wedige (6-4, 310) of Northern Illinois.
Fullback Jared Crank (6-2, 238) of Purdue.
Defensive ends Tevita Finau (6-4, 283) of Utah and Conrad Obi (6-3, 290) of Colorado.
Safety Blake Gideon (6-1, 205), who made 52 career starts of Texas.
Cornerback and return specialist James Nixon (6-1, 190) of California, Pa.
