As if a matchup with the rival Gators wasn't enough to get Hurricanes fans pumped up Saturday, the school's basketball team will receive their ACC championship rings between the first and second quarters.
The 2012-13 college basketball season was a monumental one for Miami as it reached as high as No. 2 in the polls, won the ACC title for the first time and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.
Coach Jim Larranaga, who the school announced Thursday had received a contract extension through 2022, was named the national coach of the year, Shane Larkin was named ACC player of the year and Durand Scott was chosen the ACC's defensive player of the year.
