Jose Calderon has his papers in order and is ready to go.
The Pistons announced Monday afternoon that Calderon has gotten his work-permit issues fixed -- as a Spanish citizen, he needed a different set of papers to play for an American team than he had needed to play for Toronto. The team expects Calderon to play tonight against the Knicks.
Calderon was acquired last week as part of the three-way trade that sent Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye to Memphis. He sat out Friday and Sunday's games because of the work-permit problems.
One of the league's most accurate passers, Calderon will go into the starting lineup at point guard, with Brandon Knight moving to shooting guard and Kyle Singler taking Prince's job at small forward.
