Cabrera supports manager, steals sign

Miguel Cabrera has his manager's back — and video evidence to prove it.

A YouTube video has surfaced that shows Cabrera at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago this week, signing autographs and holding a sign under his left arm. The words on the sign, although turned away from the camera, can be seen through the poster board and appear to say "FIRE LEYLAND."

While Cabrera goes about his business of making fans happy, one man heckles him for taking the sign and about some recent controversial roster moves by Tigers manager Jim Leyland — using struggling players Ryan Raburn and Don Kelly. The man even asks Cabrera if he's happy Leyland's contract is almost up.

Cabrera, who eventually gives the sign to a security person, never says a word to the Leyland hater.

Cabera's actions speak louder.
