Burke breaks Pletcher's season purse earnings mark at Meadowlands

Harness racing trainer Ron Burke broke Todd Pletcher's season record for purse earnings for a horse trainer Friday night at The Meadowlands.

Burke topped Pletcher's 2007 mark of $28,116,097 with Appomattox's victory in the sixth race.

Burke finished the night at $28,146,935.
