CINCINNATI -- Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict is active and is expected to start Sunday against Atlanta. Burfict suffered a concussion at Baltimore last Sunday and missed the second half of a 23-16 win against the Ravens.

Burfict was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday this week but was allowed to practice on Friday. He was listed as questionable on the team's injury report Friday and still needed to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to be activated Sunday.

Burfict led the NFL in tackles last season. He was credited with four tackles last week against the Ravens as well as forcing and recovering a fumble before he had to leave the game.
