Bungee jumper sets world record for dunking biscuit in a cup of tea

In case you were looking for the most extreme, most British world record ever:

A 24-year-old thrill seeker by the name of Simon Berry recently took hold of that honor in Berkshire, UK, when he managed to set the world record for highest "bungee dunk" ever. This incredibly British achievement saw Berry jump off a 240-foot high platform, dunk a biscuit into a cup of tea at the bottom, and live to tell about it with the help of a bungee cord.

It is a very random thing to do, but representatives from Guinness World Records were on hand to make the feat one for the record books.

While it's very impressive that Berry was able to pull it off (and do it so smoothly), we have to assume he got a whole lot of help from some others around him as well. He deserves credit for taking the daring risk, but this kind of thing also presumably requires a lot of fancy math. While fancy math doesn't make cool GoPro footage or get a lot of glory, it can certainly save lives in instances like this.

So cheers to Simon Berry and fancy math on their bloody wonderful British record.
