TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The St. Louis Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have resumed their game following a 51-minute delay because of severe weather.

Lightning forced players and coaches off the field with 6:03 remaining in the second quarter. Fans were advised to seek shelter in covered concourse areas of Raymond James Stadium until a severe thunderstorm cleared the area.

Players returned to the field after about 40 minutes in the locker rooms. The teams were given an additional 10 minutes to warm up, while fans began returning to their seats.

The score was tied 7-7 when play resumed.
