Bucs, Patriots will hold joint workouts in August

TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers intend to hold training camp workouts with the New England Patriots for the second consecutive year, the Bucs announced Thursday. The Bucs will travel to Foxborough, Mass., for two joint practices on Aug. 13 and 14. Those workouts will come before a preseason game at Gillette Stadium set for Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. Before last season, New England visited Tampa Bay for two joint practices prior to the Bucs’ 30-28 preseason victory over the Patriots on Aug. 24 at Raymond James Stadium. The Bucs finished 7-9 in 2012. The Patriots won the AFC East with a 12-4 record and advanced to the AFC Championship Game.
