For Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, severe weather in Oklahoma is too close for comfort.
The third overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft is an Oklahoma City native and a two-time team captain at Oklahoma who started 40 games during his college career. Before his stint with the Sooners, he became a standout at Oklahoma City's Southeast High School.
Severe storms have hit the Midwest, including the Oklahoma City area, since Sunday. On Monday afternoon, a strong tornado — estimated to be an EF4 on the Fujita scale of tornado intensity — ripped through Moore, Okla., a southern suburb, and caused widespread damage.

McCoy, who made his first Pro Bowl after last season, has 69 tackles and nine sacks over his first three years in the NFL.
