The Milwaukee Bucks will play a game in London next season, as the league announced it's Global Games schedule for the 2014-15 season on Thursday.

Scheduled for Jan. 15, the Bucks will face the New York Knicks at The O2 in London.

This will be the first regular-season game played overseas for the Bucks, but Milwaukee played a pair of exhibition games against the Golden State Warriors in China in 2008.

"I think it is great. I think it is going to give us a lot of exposure," said Bucks co-owner Wesley Edens.  "There's a lot of interest in the NBA generally in London, so I think there is going to be a lot of buzz about it."

Added co-owner Marc Lasry: "Well, we get to play the Knicks. It's actually great. And we're the home team, so it couldn't have worked out any better for us."

The NBA also announced a regular-season game between the Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves will be played in Mexico City, while five preseason games were already scheduled to be played in Germany, Turkey, Brazil and China.

"While London and Mexico City each have their own unique culture, they both have rich sports traditions and share a great passion for the NBA," NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in a release. "These regular-season games will bring the excitement and incredible competition of our league to more fans in Europe and Latin America."
