The Ohio State Buckeyes have regained the No. 1 spot in both major national college basketball polls.

The Buckeyes (27-2) received 45 of the 65 first-place votes in the Associated Press Poll and 17 of 31 first-place votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. Duke was No. 1 in both polls last week but lost at Virginia Tech, allowing the Buckeyes to move up from second in the AP Poll and third in the Coaches Poll.

Kansas was second in both polls, followed by BYU. Duke and Pitt tied for fourth in the AP voting, while Duke was fourth in the Coaches Poll. Red-hot Purdue moved up to sixth in both polls, one spot ahead of suddenly-cold Texas.

The NCAA Tournament draw is set for Sunday, March 13. OSU is all but set as a No. 1 seed and should play its first two games in Cleveland.

The Buckeyes kick off the final week of the regular season looking to clinch at least share of the Big Ten title Tuesday night at Penn State. They close the regular season Sunday at home in a much-anticipated rematch with Wisconsin, which is ranked No. 10 in both new polls.

Xavier is No. 23 in the new AP Poll and remains unranked in the Coaches Poll.
