Ohio State will play North Carolina Dec. 20 in Chicago, the first of a three-year commitment to marquee, neutral site games for the Buckeyes basketball program.

The Buckeyes and Tarheels play at 1 p.m. at the United Center in the first game of the CBS Sports Classic, followed by Kentucky vs. UCLA.

In 2015, the Buckeyes will play Kentucky in Brooklyn, and in 2016 they'll play UCLA in Las Vegas.

It was previously announced the Buckeyes will play at Louisville next season, Dec. 2, in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The rest of the schedule is still being finalized.

Beginning in 2015, Ohio State could also be a part of one of the eight Big Ten-Big East Gavitt Tipoff Games in the season's first week. Those games will be played at campus sites.

The 2014-15 season will be the 11th for coach Thad Matta, who's bringing in a highly-regarded recruiting class this summer and last weekend got a verbal commitment from 6'5 guard Austin Grandstaff of Texas, Ohio State's third verbal commit for the class of 2015.
