Bryant on one catch in loss to Saints: 'I just do as asked'

Dez Bryant says his back was not bothering him during Sunday night's 49-17 loss in New Orleans.

The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, who missed practice Wednesday with a sore back, said he wouldn't have been able to move the way he did in the game if he was injured.

"I promise you... ain't nothing wrong with it," Bryant said after he was asked about taking an epidural shot. "I'm fine, man."

So why didn't he make a bigger impact on the stat sheet? Bryant finished with one catch for 44 yards and was only targeted twice.

"I just do as asked," Bryant said. "That's what I do. I can't answer that."

At times, Bryant was doubled with a safety and occasionally even had two defenders bracketing him on the line of scrimmage in the red zone.

"You just go out there and when your number is called, try to execute the best way you possibly can," he said. "All I know is it is unfortunate for us tonight."
