Bruce Buffer: Ronda Rousey is the female version of The Rock

As you may have probably heard, UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has a bit more on her plate than simply defending her title this August, in Brazil against Bethe Correia. The "Rowdy" one is also starring in movies and promoting her best-selling memoir.

She's doing so much, across so many mediums, that UFC announcer and the host of the It's Time podcast Bruce Buffer, recently compared her to a former athlete and one of Hollywood's biggest stars -- The Rock, Dwayne Johnson.

He's constantly part of these big projects...they just make money," Buffer began, speaking of Johnson.

"And that's what's happening with Ronda. Ronda comes out in The Expendables, which, worldwide, easily does over $100 million. She's in Entourage."

Rousey is in two blockbuster movies this summer, the co-author of a book selling like hotcakes and still has to maintain her training schedule in preparation for UFC 190. Balancing all that is an impressive feat, and reminded Buffer of the former pro-wrestler Johnson in terms of success and diversity.

"Now you've got her book...Ronda is selling a lot of books, and she's busting her buns doing her promo tour," he continued.

"With what she does in fighting, in what she does in movies, to what she does with her book writing, and her training, there is a similarity, here. Ronda is like a female version of The Rock...It's just exciting to see someone as a role model, herself, make this happen."
