The Browns are hoping the excitement surrounding LeBron James' return to Cleveland will carry over to the football field.

"It's a great day in Cleveland," Joe Haden said on NFL Network's 'NFL Total Access' Friday.

Haden, who is a big Cavaliers fan, said he heard the news while he was conducting his football camp.

"It's been almost overwhelming," Haden said. "I was actually having my football camp when people that were at my camp -- peoples' parents -- were like, 'Oh my goodness LeBron's here. LeBron's here. LeBron's coming back home.'

"I'm super excited. I've been a really, really big LeBron supporter. It's been kind of tough being a LeBron fan in Cleveland since he left. So now I've just been able to chill and post some of my things about being a big fan of him -- it's going to be amazing."

Haden said he feels the excitement in Cleveland just two weeks before the Browns start training camp.

"You could feel it everywhere especially after the draft too," he said. "We got [Justin] Gilbert and we got [Johnny] Manziel, then the city was buzzing. Now, LeBron's coming back. We got Andrew Wiggins. The whole city feels really good about themselves. I know the players and everybody. I know I do. It's time for us. There's no reason why we can't win games out here with the Cavs and for the Browns."

Haden thinks the Browns are poised to start turning it around.

"Even if LeBron hadn't have come, I felt really confident about what we got going on as far as the Browns organization and the way the direction that we're going," he said. "This is just nothing but add-on to it. This just boosts peoples' spirits up. I think at the end of the day, what we have with the Browns we feel like we can games, we feel like our defense is very, very, very strong.

"With [Johnny] Manziel and [Brian] Hoyer fighting for the quarterback position, Ben Tate at running back -- we've got a lot of different moving positions on offense. It could be special for us. I think with this team, we're going to have a really big push."
