The Cleveland Browns have unveiled a new logo package -- and next comes a change to their uniforms.
Team president Alec Scheiner said the new uniforms would be unveiled on April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at an event at the Cleveland Convention Center.
Scheiner wouldn't give out any information on the new uniforms -- even if there were to be an added color to the scheme --but hinted that the uniform change will be more drastic, in keeping the helmet with no logo.
"We'll move the uniform further ahead than the logo," Scheiner said. "The fans have given us permission to move ahead with the uniform."
The Browns have said the new uniforms will be "cutting edge" but continue to link to the team's history.
"I'd be very surprised if our fans don't love our new-look uniforms. I think we're headed down a really cool path," Scheiner said nearly a year ago in a radio interview.
Most of the Browns' uniform history consists of brown and white tops with white pants with slight tweaks to number styles and border colors. Through the years, they've also thrown in orange and -- more recently- brown pants.
An orange jersey was also part of the set for a time in the mid-2000s.
