A second knee injury has ended the season for Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Phil Taylor.
The Browns will place Taylor on injured-reserve Friday. He was injured in last week's win at Cincinnati, his first game back after a four-game absence due to a different injury that required a knee scope.
A first-round pick in 2011, Taylor has started 42 of 44 career games and is a big part of a struggling run defense that had one of its best games of the season in Cincinnati. Taylor had been starting at defensive end when the Browns were at full strength.
The Browns already have defensive lineman John Hughes on injured-reserve/designated to return, though the earliest he could return is the regular season finale. Billy Winn will likely replace Taylor in the starting lineup.
Also Friday, the Browns declared Pro Bowl tight end Jordan Cameron out for Sunday's game vs. Houston due to a concussion. This will be the third straight game Cameron has missed.
Safety Tashaun Gipson, the NFL's interceptions leader with six, returned to practice after he missed three days due to a concussion. The Browns will list Gipson as questionable on Friday's official injury report.
