CENTURION, South Africa (AP) England has included pace bowler Stuart Broad in its one-day squad for the five-match series in South Africa next month.
Broad was named Friday as a replacement for Liam Plunkett, who has a thigh strain. Plunkett himself was supposed to be traveling to South Africa as an injury replacement for Steven Finn, who sustained a side strain in the third test in Johannesburg.
Broad wasn't initially picked for the ODIs but was England's standout bowler in Johannesburg to help it win the test series.
The England and Wales Cricket Board says Plunkett will remain in the Twenty20 squad providing he recovers in time for those games on Feb. 19 and 21. He will stay with the England Lions team in United Arab Emirates while he recovers.
