Brewers option OF Davis to Triple-A Nashville

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers optioned outfielder Khris Davis to Triple-A Nashville following Wednesday afternoon's 6-4 loss to Pittsburgh.
A corresponding roster move was not announced, but Aramis Ramirez and Jeff Bianchi both are likely to come off the disabled list in the next few days.
Davis, 25, hit just .188 in 16 at-bats this season. Struggling to adjust to a bench role with limited at-bats, the young left fielder had just one hit in nine pinch hit at-bats.
Earning the final spot on the Opening Day roster after an impressive spring, Davis found it tough to crack the lineup because of his role as the team's fifth outfielder and lack of versatility in the field.
Bianchi's rehab assignment ends Friday, meaning he must be added to the 25-man roster or be designated for assignment by then.
Ramirez is likely going to return Thursday or Friday after missing three weeks with a sprained left knee.
