Brewers minor leaguer suspended for drug test

NEW YORK (AP) Milwaukee Brewers minor league pitcher Mark Williams has been suspended 50 games without pay for a positive drug test.

Major League Baseball says Friday that the right-hander tested positive for an Amphetamine in violation of the Minor League drug prevention and treatment program.

Williams is on the roster of the Single-A Brevard County Manatees of the Florida State League. His suspension is effective immediately.
