Brewers give fans $10 voucher in wake of Braun mess

In the days following the announcement of Ryan Braun's season-ending suspension, Milwaukee Brewers principal owner Mark Attanasio made it clear he was going to give back to the fans in what has turned into a long season.
The first part of a series of special fan appreciation initiatives was announced Monday, as the Brewers will give all fans attending any of the 12 home games in August a $10 voucher for free concessions, merchandise and game tickets at Miller Park.
"This has been a challenging season for all of us, but the one thing that has never wavered has been the tremendous support we have received from fans who love the Brewers," Attanasio said in a release. "We wanted to do something meaningful to show our appreciation, and we will strive to provide the best fan experience possible."
Starting with Friday's game against Washington, every fan will receive the voucher when they come through the turnstiles. The $10 voucher can be used on food, beverage, merchandise and tickets sold at nearly every outlet in the park, excluding Friday's Front Row, portable merchandise stands, Miller Park suites, the Johnson Controls Stadium Club and all-inclusive areas.
Fans can combine the vouchers and use them at any of the remaining home games in 2013. The Brewers expect to distribute more than $3.6 million worth of vouchers.
The Brewers plan to unveil more fan appreciation initiatives in August and September, calling the vouchers the first part of an umbrella program called "Fans First".
