Brewer to miss Wednesday's game due to birth of son

Corey Brewer won't be with the Timberwolves on Wednesday night in Oklahoma City, but he's not the team's latest casualty.
On the contrary, Brewer's away from the team to be with his son, who was born yesterday, according to the team's public relations Twitter account. The small forward is expected to rejoin the team by Friday's contest in New Orleans.

Wednesday will mark the first game Brewer's missed since Feb. 9, 2012 when he was a member of the Denver Nuggets. Signed as a free-agent this offseason, he's started all 48 of Minnesota's games this campaign.
The Timberwolves are already without starting center Nikola Pekovic, who's out indefinitely with bursitis in his right ankle. Kevin Love may be operating at less than 100 percent, too, after taking a nasty spill late in Tuesday's victory over the Lakers.
Brewer averages 11.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 31.8 minutes per game.
The boy's name is Sebastian.
