NEW YORK (AP) -- Brian McCann has left Atlanta's game against the New York Mets with a bruised left wrist.
The All-Star catcher appeared to get hit by a foul ball in the bottom of the third inning. McCann, batting cleanup, stepped to the plate with two on and nobody out in the top of the fourth and dropped down a sacrifice bunt that advanced both runners.
After the Braves were retired, he was replaced by David Ross behind the plate.
McCann began the night batting .286 with 20 homers and 88 RBIs. He struck out looking his first time up in the second inning.
