Braun has the numbers; he needs the votes

Just because you've been an All-Star starter and are playing like an All-Star starter doesn't mean you'll be an All-Star starter.

Fans have to make that happen, and that's where Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun needs a little help. In last week's latest voting update, Braun fell from the third and final National League outfield All-Star spot to fourth, 25,182 votes behind San Francisco's Melky Cabrera.

Braun, who was voted a starter in each of the past four All-Star Games, is on pace to top the home run and RBI totals that helped him win the NL MVP award last season, and the Brewers are encouraging fans to take to the polls.

The team's All-Star campaign has been renamed "Vote Braun" from "Vote Brewers," and the main message is that voting ends Thursday night, so there's little time to get Braun back into the top three spots.

Fans can submit up to 25 ballots per email address with the All-Star Game online ballot at MLB.com.
