By Sid Saraf, FOXSports.com Every NFL player needs a career after their football playing days are over. Well, it looks like free-agent receiver Brandon Lloyd, who reportedly turned down offers from six teams, has found his niche. Acting! In a zombie movie! That's right, Lloyd is starring in the Daniel Baldwin vehicle called "After Effect." Here is the plot summary according to IMDB: When college students sign up for what seems a simple paid research study, they soon realize their lives are in danger. Unfortunately they've unknowingly volunteered their bodies as human collateral in an ongoing U.S. Military experiment. Here is the trailer:

Sounds promising. Lloyd's character is named Sgt. Chuck Lloyd. Wait, what? They couldn't give him a different last name? That's just lazy writing. If I got a part in a movie and they told me, "OK, your character is named Mikey Saraf," I'd be pretty bummed out. How can I show off my acting range and lose myself in the part if my real last name is in my head? But all jokes aside, this is a pretty cool break for Lloyd. And I love me a good zombie movie ("Shaun of the Dead," etc.) I even love me some zombie television ("Walking Dead"). Heck, I'm a fan of zombie TV commercials.

So, keep an eye out for this movie at Best Buy, because this won't be released in theaters. Who knows, maybe Lloyd can parlay this role in a Daniel Baldwin movie into a part in "The Substitute 5" starring Treat Williams. I know that's not a real movie, but someone should write that up and get it out there. Questions? Comments? Send them to lacesoutmail@gmail.com and we might respond in our weekly mailbag!
