WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) New Zealand fast bowler Doug Bracewell has been ruled out of the second cricket test against Australia, starting Saturday, with a shoulder injury.

Bracewell joins batsman Ross Taylor (side strain) and allrounder Mitchell Santner (bruised foot) in being unavailable for a match at Hagley Oval that New Zealand must win to level the two-test series. Australia won the first test at Wellington by an innings and 52 runs.

Matt Henry is likely to take over Bracewell's role as third seamer behind Tim Southee and Trent Boult.

Australia needs only a draw in the second test to overtake India as the top-ranked test-playing nation.
