Bowers likely to sit out South Carolina game

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) Laurence Bowers will likely miss his fourth consecutive game for No. 22 Missouri when the Tigers play at home Tuesday against South Carolina.
Bowers has been rehabbing a sprained right knee he injured Jan. 5 against Alabama. Missouri (13-4, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) has lost two of three since then, including 15- and 31-point losses on the road.
The 6-foot-8, 227-pound senior leads the Tigers in scoring with 16.8 points per game and ranks second with 6.9 rebounds.
Keion Bell is also unlikely to play Tuesday after spraining an ankle in the team's 83-52 loss Saturday at then-No. 10 Florida. Earnest Ross will be a game-time decision after injuring his back last Wednesday against Georgia.
Coach Frank Haith made the announcements Monday at the team's weekly news conference.
