Bohannon leads UTEP past Tulane 72-54

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- John Bohannon scored 20 points as UTEP rolled past Tulane 72-54 on Thursday night.



Julian Washburn hit a jumper to give UTEP a 15-14 lead with 11:25 to play in the first half and the Miners led the rest of the way. Bohannon made a layup to give the Miners a 20-point lead, 65-45 with 2:53 remaining.



Bohannon made 8 of 10 field goals and had two blocks. Vince Hunter scored 12 points and C.J. Cooper added 12 with six assists for UTEP (20-7, 10-2 Conference USA), which is tied with Middle Tennessee atop the conference standings. The Miners have won two-straight since having their eight-game winning streak snapped by Florida Atlantic on Feb. 13.



Jay Hook hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points for Tulane (14-13, 6-6). Louis Dabney also scored 14 points on 4-of-12 shooting for the Green Wave.
