Blue Jackets add Sean Collins to the roster on emergency recall

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have added forward Sean Collins to the roster on emergency recall from the American Hockey League’s Springfield Falcons, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Collins is expected to join the club prior to tonight’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre.


Collins, 24, has collected one assist and a +2 plus/minus rating in five games with the Blue Jackets this season and has registered 0-1-1, six penalty minutes with an even plus/minus rating in 10 career NHL games. He has notched 3-4-7, four penalty minutes and is +5 in 13 games with the Falcons and has 15-28-43, 28 penalty minutes and is +23 in 85 career AHL games.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native was Columbus’ ninth pick, 187th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft. He played four seasons at Cornell University (ECAC) from 2008-12, registering 30-27-57 and 62 penalty minutes in 136 career games.
