DALLAS -- Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones was cool and calm on the field in leading the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship Game and Sugar Bowl.
As he prepares for just his third college-football start on the biggest stage of all, Jones is focused and isn't letting anyone bother him.
"I blocked every contact in my phone except for coaches and my mom," he said. "It took me like 40 minutes to block everyone in my phone."
Even his teammates won't be able to get a hold of him before Monday's National Championship Game at AT&T Stadium.
"I'm going to see them all over anyway so I blocked them too," Jones said. "Just to eliminate as many distractions as possible. I just want to put that much more into my preparation."
Jones hasn't shown any nerves in his remarkable two performances. His secret is the music, and his favorite artist to get his ready for the game is Grammy Award-winner and Ohio native John Legend.
"Before we get on the bus, there's a lot of rap and hip hop music." he said. "But when we get off and into the facility it turns more into a slow R&B style music to calm me down."
If Jones beats Oregon, he might become the bigger legend in Ohio.
