CINCINNATI -- The Bengals signed free agent offensive tackle and Cincinnati native Chandler Burden Tuesday.

Burden (6-4, 310) is a 2008 graduate of La Salle High School who played in college at Kentucky. He was originally signed by Tennessee as an undrafted free agent in 2012 but spent the season on Miami's practice squad after being released by the Titans. He signed with Kansas City's practice squad last October after being released by Miami at the end of training camp. The Chiefs waived Burden last week.

Burden helped La Salle to the Division I state runner-up trophy in track and field his senior season by winning the shot put and discus competitions. His discus throw of 192 feet, 4 inches was at the time a Cincinnati city record.
