Bengals go Green

The Bengals are known for making some head-scratching moves in the NFL Draft.

Thursday night, they went the safe route.

The Bengals selected Georgia WR A.J. Green with the fourth overall pick, grabbing a guy who's generally regarded as the draft's most exciting playmaker and should make an instant impact in the Bengals' offense.

In the long run, Green could prove to be a home run. He brings big-play ability and a rare size/speed combo.

Who's the quarterback that will be delivering him the ball? Well, we'll see. Whether his presence spells the end of Chad Ochocinco in Cincinnati or a potential olive branch in the Carson Palmer Saga remains to be seen.

The Bengals are next due to pick at No. 37 overall in the second round but are a team to watch later in the first for a possible trade-up. Three quarterbacks -- Cam Newton, Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert -- were selected in the top ten.
