Beltre AL player of the month for September

Mr. September was at it again for the Texas Rangers.
Adrian Beltre, who was the American League September player of the month in 2011, repeated the feat as he was named the AL September player of the month this year.
Beltre is just the fourth player to accomplish that feat -- joining Eddie Murray, Don Mattingly and Albert Belle.
Beltre had a September to remember, batting .337 with 11 home runs and 19 RBIs. He led the majors in slugging percentage and total bases and was second in homers. He also had four game winning RBIs for Texas. Defensively he played 22 games without an error at third base.
This marks the time Beltre has won a monthly honor and he’s the third Rangers’ player to win a monthly honor this year, joining Josh Hamilton (April, May).
Beltre was also named a finalist for the American League Players Choice award Tuesday, joining AL most valuable player frontrunners Miguel Cabrera and Mike Trout.
