Behest wins turf feature at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Behest won the $58,000 feature for older fillies and mares by 1 3/4 lengths over eight rivals Friday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Drayden Van Dyke, Behest ran 6 1/2 furlongs on the downhill turf course in 1:14.02 and paid $18.20, $8 and $4.60 at 8-1 odds.
Q'Viva returned $5.40 and $3.20, while 2-1 favorite Warrenscrystalized was another 1 3/4 lengths back in third and paid $3 to show.
The victory, worth $34,800, increased Behest's career earnings to $70,080, with three wins in four starts. Trained by Phil D'Amato, the 4-year-old is a daughter of 2000 Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus.
