BC beats Badgers 8-5 behind four second-period goals

Boston College forward Christopher Brown scored a game-high three goals, as the sixth-ranked Eagles defeated Wisconsin 8-5 on Sunday.

The Eagles (2-2) scored four straight goals in the second period to take a 6-2 lead. The Badgers (2-2) rallied with three goals to cut Boston College's lead to one before the Eagles scored two empty-net goals.

Trent Frederic, JD Greenway, Cameron Hughes, Ryan Wagner and Grant Besse scored for the Badgers. Frederic added three assists.

Wisconsin trailed 2-0 in the first period before Frederic and Greenway scored. Besse's goal midway through the third period cut Boston College's lead to 6-5.

The Badgers return to action Oct. 28 vs. St. Lawrence.
