Baylor holds on to beat Texas Southern 68-60

WACO, Texas (AP) -- LaceDarius Dunn scored all but two of his 17 points in the second half, and A.J. Walton and Quincy Acy made key plays down the stretch as Baylor held off Texas Southern 68-60 Sunday.
Acy had 16 points, eight rebounds and two big blocks in the closing moments for Baylor (9-3), playing its first game since dropping out of the AP Top 25 after two losses to unranked teams in Hawaii's Diamond Head Classic around Christmas. Walton added 13 points and six assists and forced a key turnover that snuffed out the Tigers' final bid.
Travele Jones had 21 points for Texas Southern (2-9), which fell to 0-6 all-time against the Bears.
Baylor closed the first half with a 15-3 run, much of it on free throws, to take a 25-22 lead at the break.
