DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) Bangladesh defended its modest total of 133-8 to beat the United Arab Emirates by 51 runs in the Asia Cup on Friday.
Fast bowlers Mashrafe Mortaza (2-12) and Mustafizur Rahman (2-13) led the way for the host, dismantling the top order to bowl UAE out for 82.
Off-spinner Mahmudullah took 2-5 off two overs and left arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan finished with 2-20.

Muhammad Usman top scored for UAE with 30 with opener Rohan Mustafa contributing 18.
Mohammad Mithun top scored for Bangladesh with 47 while Mahmudullah was unbeaten on 36.
