Sophomore Luke Kunin scored three goals, and sophomore Seamus Malone added two, as the Wisconsin Badgers men's hockey team defeated Canadian university Victoria 10-1 in an exhibition game to open the Tony Granato coaching era.

Wisconsin outshot Victoria 63-10 in a game that featured goals by six different Badgers skaters. Junior Cameron Hughes produced three assists, while freshmen goaltenders Jack Berry and Johan Blomquist split time in goal.

The 10 goals marked the first double-digit output for the Badgers since 1993. The team went 3 for 6 on the power play and 6 for 6 on the penalty kill.
