At Ann Arbor's Yost Ice Arena, in Mich., the Wisconsin men's hockey squad battled No. 12 Michigan to a 6-all tie on Saturday night.

Wisconsin scored in the final five minutes of regulation to tie the contest.

The Badgers (3-6-5 overall, 1-0-1-0 Big Ten), who lost to the Wolverines (8-2-3, 1-0-1-1) by a 6-4 margin on Friday night, saw a flurry of scoring early on in Saturday's contest. Wisconsin got a pair of first-period goals from Ryan Wagner yet trailed, 3-2, after Saturday's first 20 minutes. The Badgers enjoyed an offensive explosion soon after, scoring three unanswered goals in the second stanza. Matthew Freytag's tally at 18:23 of the second period gave Wisconsin a 5-3 advantage. Freytag, like Wagner, would end the night with two goals.

Alas, Michigan surged to the finish, and the game ended knotted at 6-all.

"As much as we haven't solved the riddle of figuring how to put games away, one of the things we've done all year very well is being resilient and coming back and finding ways to tie games," Wisconsin coach Mike Eaves said after a night that ended with a Michigan shootout win.

Michigan was led by senior Justin Sellman's two goals.

Next up, Wisconsin visits Michigan State for a weekend series, starting next Friday at 6 p.m. in East Lansing.
