The Wisconsin men's hockey squad has advanced to the WCHA's Final Five. The Badgers strolled past Minnesota-Duluth by a 4-1 margin Saturday, in Game 2 of an opening round playoff series.

Wisconsin recorded three goals in the span of roughly eight minutes on Saturday to complete its first-round sweep of UMD. The fourteenth-ranked Badgers, now 19-12-7 overall, got goals from Jefferson Dahl, Michael Mersch and Kevin Schulze during the aforementioned eight-minute flurry.

Tyler Barnes added a third-period goal for Wisconsin, and net-minder Joel Rumpel aided the Badgers' cause by recording 29 saves to improve to 13-8-4 on the season.

Minnesota-Duluth (14-19-5) got its lone goal Saturday courtesy of Justin Crandall.

Wisconsin will play in its first WCHA Final Five since 2010 -- and its last, as it moves to the Big Ten next season.
