DULUTH, Minn. - Sophomore Joel Rumpel registered 29 saves Friday, leading the Wisconsin men's hockey squad past Minnesota-Duluth, 2-0.

Wisconsin was also greatly aided Friday by the production of Mark Zengerle, who posted a goal and had a key assist, as the Badgers posted an eye-opening win at AMSOIL Arena. Zengerle's goal came at the 14:08 mark of the second period, accounting for the game's final margin.

Friday marked Rumpel's fourth career shutout. As a result, Wisconsin improved to 1-2-0 on the young season, while the host Bulldogs dropped to 2-3-0.
