Bad week for Akron RubberDucks

It has not been a good week for the Akron RubberDucks when it comes to injuries to starters.
Francisco Lindor suffered a small, non-displaced nasal fracture on Wednesday when a ground ball took a bad hop. On Saturday, it got worse as Joey Wendle and Tyler Naquin were placed on the seven-day disabled list.
Wendle left Thursday's game during the fifth inning that was later diagnosed as a fracture of the hamate bone in his right wrist. On Friday, Naquin suffered a broken bone in his right hand after being hit by a pitch in the eighth inning.
Lindor, who is slated to play in the MLB Futures Game on July 13, is expected to return to action in the next week while the timetable for Wendle and Naquin is uncertain. Naquin, the Indians first-round pick in 2012, leads the team in hitting with a .313 batting average and Wendle leads in RBI with 45.
The RubberDucks have been the best team in the Indians' system so far. They are a half-game out of first in the Eastern League's Western Division.
