Emily Maynard's first child, Ricki, is 9 years old. Now Ricki, whose father was Ricky Hendrick, the late son of Rick Hendrick of Hendrick Motorsports fame, is about to get a sibling.
According to reports, including one in the The Charlotte Observer, Maynard is expecting her second child with husband Tyler Johnson. She was pregnant with her first child when Ricky Hendrick perished in a plane crash on a Hendrick Motorsports plane that was attempting to land at an airport near Martinsville, Va., for a NASCAR race in 2004.
Maynard did not discover that she was pregnant with Ricki until after Ricky Hendrick's death, and subsequently named their daughter after the father.
Maynard, who gained a measure of her own fame by pushing away would-be suitors on ABC's "The Bachelor" television show, announced her latest news on Instagram and Twitter.
Maynard and Johnson were married last year at his family's South Carolina farm. It was Maynard's much-publicized fourth engagement, and -- she insisted at the time -- her last.
"I really mean it. I'm actually making it to the marriage part this time!" she told People Magazine then.
She also poked a little fun at herself when she made her latest announcement on Instagram and Twitter.
"Too much pizza," Maynard, 28, joked as she posted an image of her baby bump. The child is due for a July arrival.
Maynard has a line of jewelry she sells through her website, emilymaynard.com, and also has more than 400,000 followers on Twitter. She posed on Instagram with daughter Ricki just before Christmas, touting her jewelry line.
