ARLINGTON, Texas -- The dress Texas Rangers on-field reporter Emily Jones wore when she got the Powerade bath from Elvis Andrus continues to live on.

Both Andrus and Josh Hamilton autographed the dress Thursday, and it will be auctioned off July 9 as part of the Do It For Durrett '80s Night at Globe Life Park. The event benefits families impacted by sudden loss.

Following Sunday's postgame drenching, the video of the incident that aired on FOX Sports Southwest made national news. Andrus also wrote a check for $1,000 to the Do It For Durrett Foundation because he ruined the dress as Jones was interviewing Hamilton.

Jones, who is the president of the Do It For Durrett Foundation, said she is happy that the incident can now benefit someone else.

"It really took on a life of its own," Jones said. "Elvis has been great about it. Now we've got an opportunity to make the dress live on. I'll never wear it again, but now it has a chance to help someone financially. That's great."

Tickets for the Do It For Durrett '80s Night are available at doitfordurrett.com.
