Australia wins toss, fields vs. Bangladesh

BENGALURU, India (AP) Australia captain Steve Smith won the toss and opted to field against Bangladesh in a crucial encounter of the World Twenty20 in Group 2 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday.
Both teams lost their opening encounters, Australia to New Zealand and Bangladesh to Pakistan.
While Australia lost by just eight runs, Bangladesh suffered a 55-run defeat at the Eden Gardens.
The loser of this contest will be out of contention for a last four berth.
Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out as he is unwell. He is replaced by Mustafizur Rahman.
