Bruce Pearl has never shown much hesitation to take his shirt off for school spirit -- or, in this case, a cause.
The former Tennessee coach famously painted up in the Volunteers' student section in support of the women's basketball program during his time in Knoxville, and now it looks like he's up to his old tricks on The Plains. Pearl, who was recently named the Auburn Tigers' men's basketball head coach, participated in a fundraising effort outside the university's student center on Wednesday ... by sitting in a dunk tank. The function was put on by Auburn fraternity Pi Kappa Phi to raise money for PUSH America, a service leadership organization aimed to benefit people with disabilities.
Pearl, who was one of the most consistently successful coaches in the country at Tennessee before being fired in the midst of an NCAA investigation, is looking to turn around an Auburn program that has not gone to the NCAA Tournament since 2003. Looks like he's already in midseason form.
