ASU to host NAU in NCAA soccer tournament

Arizona State will host Big Sky Conference champion Northern Arizona on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in a first-round game in the NCAA women's soccer tournament.
ASU enters the tournament with an 11-5-4 record and went 4-4-3 against Pac-12 competition. This will be the seventh tournament appearance for ASU, and its fourth in the last six years.
This is the first NCAA Tournament appearance for NAU since 2009 and third overall. The Lumberjacks (12-5-4) finished third in the Big Sky Conference regular season but swept three games in the conference tournament -- led by tournament MVP Haley Wingender -- to earn an automatic berth.
"This is what we have been working towards the past four years," said NAU senior midfielder Savannah Berry. "All the hard work we have put in this season has paid off and now we have to focus and prepare for Arizona State."
The Sun Devils are led by junior Cali Farquharson (tied for first in the Pac-12 with 14 goals) and freshman forward Aly Moon (eight goals).
